Derivation is our series of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts in which we brew several recipes, age them in a variety of barrels and blend them before bottling to add depth and structure to this massive style of beer.

Blend #8 is a select blend of barrel-aged stouts that were aged for 1 to 3 years before being blended and infused with coffee, coconut and vanilla.

Blend #7 is a blend of Oatmeal Imperial Stouts that were aged in Rye and Bourbon Barrels for 2 years.

Blend #6 is a blend of Imperial Stouts that were aged in 8- and 12-year-old Bourbon Barrels for 16 to 28 months with Cinnamon Sticks, Cacao Nibs and Vanilla Beans.

Blend #5 is a blend of Imperial Stouts that were aged in 12 year old Rum Barrels for 17 months with Sump Colombian Coffee Beans and Ugandan Vanilla Beans.

Blend #4 is blend of an Oatmeal Imperial Stout that was aged in Willet 11 year old bourbon barrels for 22 months and a Munich Malt Imperial Stout that was aged in Elijah Craig 12 year old barrels for 18 months with Madagascar Vanilla Beans.

Blend #3 is an Imperial Stout brewed with a soft amount of rye in the malt bill and was then aged in hand-selected Willet 2 year Rye Whiskey Barrels for 12 months.

Blend #2 is a Wheated Imperial Stout aged in Weller 12 year Wheated Bourbon Barrels with Ugandan Vanilla Beans for 15 months.

Blend #1 is 25% Wheated and Smoked Imperial Stout aged in a Willet 11 year Bourbon Barrel, 25% Wheated Imperial Stout aged in a Maple Syrup Willet 9 year Bourbon Barrel and 50% Wheated Imperial Stout aged in Weller Wheated Bourbon Barrels. Barrel Aging ranged from 13 to 23 months.
