Cellar Anniversary

The Side Project Cellar 9th Anniversary in Nov. 7th – 12th!

 As you all know, we sold our very first Side Project beers on Sept. 28, 2013. (Thank you for celebrating 10 wonderful years with us!) Soon after, Cory and I knew we wanted to open a cool little spot to sell Side Project, beer from other amazing breweries, whisk(e)y and wine. We signed the lease on our first Maplewood location in January 2014, and we opened The Side Project Cellar on Nov. 11, 2014. The Side Project Cellar is our original identity for our little brewery. We wanted to build a place that would feel like a “wine bar,” but we would treat beer in the same sophisticated fashion as wine! Thank you all so much for supporting this little place! Happy 9 fancy years to The Side Project Cellar!

Nov. 10th: Barleywine Friday!

The On-site DEBUT of Triple Barrel Anabasis!

Triple Barrel Anabasis was brewed in January 2020 and was first aged in a Blanton's Bourbon barrel and a Willett 5 year Bourbon barrel for 25 months. At maturity, the two barrels were racked to Blanton's barrels and allowed to age for an additional 11 months before being finished in Willett 6 year Rye barrels. The two barrels were then blended and shared with you as our first Triple Barrel Anabasis!

Nov. 11th: 9-Year Anniversary Party Saturday!

Join us Saturday, Nov. 11th, for our 9-Year Anniversary Street Celebration! We are closing part of Marietta Avenue in front of The Side Project Cellar from 12pm to 6pm! We will have beer flowing indoors and outdoors! Here are some highlights :)

10 Candles is a 10th Anniversary Blend of the first "still" beer we ever served. The Anniversary Candles beers are have always been served still and uncarbonated to represent how our beers taste when sampled straight from the barrel. 10 Candles celebrates this series with a special blend of our Generational Stout recipe aged for 24 months in Buffalo Trace barrels and our Quintuple barrel-aged O.W.K. recipe which was also found in our Anniversary beer Deca-. This blend of barrel-aged stouts was then finished with 10 varieties of vanilla beans for our 10 years. 

Please note we will have special hours on Sat, Nov. 11th from 12pm to 6pm due to the Outdoor Street Party. (Our Side Project Brewing Tasting Room will be Open regular hours 1pm to 8pm. Our Patio + Pizza Champ will be Open regular hours 12pm to 10pm.) All beer will be poured in plastic cups so folks can enjoy the event indoors and outdoors! Whoop whoop!

Nov. 12th: Derivation Sunday!

1pm: Two Derivation Drafts will be tapped at Open!
