Marble Lions

Missouri Imperial Stout finished on Peanuts, Thai Banana Nibs, Banana Chips, Ugandan Vanilla Beans and Cocoa Nibs

In 1957, Elvis Presley placed two Marble Lions on the front steps of Graceland, these iconic statues would later become a popular place to take pictures while visiting. In 2025, while researching a name for a beer which was inspired by Elvis Presley's favorite Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich, Side Project decided to name its new stout Marble Lions after these iconic statues at Graceland. Marble Lions in our next foray into the world of non-barrel-aged Imperial Stouts where we use our layering of adjuncts and the years of experimentation to create these decadent monsters which are fun to enjoy and share! For Marble Lions, we used our Horchata base recipe and after fermenting it and letting it rest and lager for a bit to soften and round, we finished it with our thoughtful blend of Peanuts, Thai Banana Nibs, Banana Chips, Ugandan Vanilla Beans and a dash of Cocoa Nibs to bring some more chocolate to the base and beer. The result is a very pure expression of Banana and Peanut Butter in robust characteristics of our Imperial Stout base!
